My experience in alternative photographic processes begins with a cheap fun camera called a Holga. This unique plastic camera has a paper clip for a shutter release that creates light leaks and vignetting. It makes a specific style of image that is fun and organic. All of the photographs seen here I developed by hand at the Mesa Community College lab. I enjoy the hands-on experience that is the alternative process compared to working in the fictitious space of the screen. However, I feel this process also allowed me to have a better understanding of how some of the tools in Photoshop function. I hope to further the tradition of the alternative photographic process and continue making my images for many years ahead.
